5 Abstract of Master s Thesis of Academic Year 2014 Proposal of The Application Trainwith That The Coach to Work on Muscle Strength Maintenance Continuation of The Elderly Together Category: Design Summary In recent years, the aging of Japan s society has proceeded rapidly, raising social security costs. This has caused various problems, such as an increase in the number of the elderly who require nursing care. Many factors cause the elderly to need nursing care, but falls cause a large percentage of their injuries. Falls may be prevented by continuing proper exercise. However, in practice, it is difficult for the elderly to continue exercise, and various organizations have been conducting trial and error research into the best way to achieve this result. Based on this situation, it was decided to carry out research into whether structured training could reasonably achieve continued exercise. In the field of exercise, research has indicated that the presence of a coach to work on muscle strength maintenance is important for continued exercise. I argue that building the appropriate connections between coaches and the elderly has an effect on continued exercise. In the present study, we created an application called Trainwith to carry out verification of the above claims through user study.
