GRAMMAR REVIEW: Topic: Adverbs of Frequency with Be Verbs (5-6 minutes) (Be 動詞とともに用いられる頻度の副詞 ) Adverbs of Frequency are adverbs that states how often an action happens. Adverbs of frequency can be placed in different positions in a sentence. It could either be placed before the main verb or after the main verb. ( 頻度の副詞はある行動がどれぐらい頻繁に起こるかを示す副詞です頻度の副詞は文の中の様々な位置に置かれます本動詞の前にも後にも置かれる可能性があります ) e.g. I always eat out during the weekend. ( 私は週末になるといつも外食します ) I seldom order meat, I usually order vegetables. ( 私はめったに肉を注文しません私はたいてい野菜を注文します ) She is always travelling abroad. ( 彼女はいつも海外旅行をしています ) She was never a picky eater. ( 彼女は全く好き嫌いがありません ) Remember: If the verb in the sentence is a Be verb, the adverb of frequency comes after the Be verb. ( 文中の動詞が Be 動詞の場合頻度の副詞は Be 動詞の後に置かれます ) Page 3
