17 A-0 山元町坂元中浜地区 山元町坂元中浜地区は 宮城県の最南部山元町の南部沿岸に位置する 地区内に JR 常磐線坂 元駅がある 江戸時代は坂元村の一浜である 戸数はおよそ 300 戸である 主要な生業は農業で 水田もあるが 砂浜の土質を活かしたイチゴが特産となっている 地区 名に浜と付くようにかつては漁村であったと思われるが 江戸時代より畑地も広がっていた 中浜の鎮守は天神社である 天神社の祭礼に奉納する神楽として中浜神楽を伝承している 宮 城県南部に広く伝承される十二座神楽に分類され 十二番の演目を伝える 近年は中浜小学校で の伝習活動にも力を入れている 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が壊滅した 山元町の復興計画では多くが居住禁止地区と なっており 集団移転が行われる予定である 13

34 B-0 山元町高瀬笠野地区 高瀬笠野地区は 山元町の中央部沿岸部 JR 山元駅のそばに位置する 江戸時代は高瀬村の 一浜である 戸数はおよそ 250 戸で 旧家は県道の東側一帯に集住する 現在は県道の西側か ら山元駅近辺に新興住宅地が形成されてきている 現在の主要な生業はイチゴ栽培を中心とした畑作農業である 戦前までは漁業が中心で定置網 漁を営んでいた 漁港がないことから漁業が衰退し 砂浜を利用した農業に転換した 地区の鎮守として八重垣神社があり また檀那寺として曹洞宗徳泉寺がある 7 月末に行われ る八重垣神社の夏祭りは笠野のお天王さまとして知られ 多くの参拝客が来たという 本祭りで は神輿の浜降りが行われる 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が壊滅した 山元町の復興計画では地区の多くが居住禁止 地区となっており 集団移転が行われる予定である 31

41 C-0 岩沼市寺島地区 気仙沼市 栗原市 南三陸町 登米市 大崎市 加美町 涌谷町 色麻町 美里町 石巻市 大衡村 女川町 大和町 大郷町 松島町 東松島市 富谷町 利府町 塩竃市 多賀城市 仙台市 七ケ浜町 川崎市 名取市 村田町 蔵王町 岩沼市 柴田町 大河原町 亘理町 七ケ宿町 白石市 角田市 山元町 丸森町 寺島は阿武隈川河口左岸に位置する 阿武隈川が蛇行してできた舌状の河岸段丘状に集落が広 がっている 地区の中央部を貞山堀が流れる 江戸時代は寺島村として一村をなし 寺島 蒲崎 新浜の 3 つの集落からなる 合計戸数は 200 余りである 主要な生業は農業である 江戸時代 の記録では阿武隈川のサケ マス漁が盛んであったことが知られる 地区内の鎮守として蒲崎に神明社 新浜に神武神社がある また 集落内の湊神社は蒲崎 新 浜住民の信仰対象であり かつては安産 子授け祈願の神様として市内全域から広く崇敬を集め ていた 檀那寺は早股の高林寺および蒲崎の専光寺である 震災では 蒲崎 新浜が壊滅的な被害を受けた 寺島集落も全壊 半壊など大きな被害を受け た 岩沼市の復興計画では 寺島地区一帯が農村文化的景観保全地域に設定されており 一部集 団移転が予定されるが 農村地帯として復興される予定である 39

53 D-0 名取市北釜地区 北釜地区は 名取市南部沿岸に位置する 地区の西側を流れる貞山堀を挟み仙台空港用地に接 する 江戸時代は下増田村の一字である 江戸時代初頭に仙台藩の開拓事業により開村した集落 である 地区の震災前の戸数は 100 戸強で 地区の中心部から宮城農業高校周辺まで広範な範 囲が北釜地区となり 現在は行政区の単位となっている 沿岸に位置する北釜地区であるが 砂浜地区であることから 漁業は発達せず 主要生業は農 業 特に蔬菜を中心とした畑作地帯である 地区内には旧下増田村全体の鎮守でもある下増田神社があり その脇には観音寺がある 観音 寺境内には地蔵堂があり千体仏を祀っていた 東日本大震災では 貞山堀に流入する農業用河川八間掘よりも東側の地区が壊滅的な被害を受 けた 名取市の復興計画では居住禁止地区となっており 地元も内陸部への集団移転を決めてい る 51

70 E-0 名取市閖上地区 閖上地区は 名取市北部沿岸 名取川の右岸河口に位置する 河口部の砂丘には広浦というラ グーンが発達し ここを港としている 江戸時代には閖上浜といい 仙台城下の港として舟運の 基地 および鮮魚の水揚げ港として発達した 地区は都市化がすすんでいるが 現住所で閖上 3 丁目から 6 丁目周辺が旧市街で およそ 900 世帯が居住している 現在も水産加工業を中心に漁業と関わる人が多い地域である 地区の鎮守としては湊神社があり 檀那寺としては真言宗観音寺 曹洞宗東禅寺がある また 大漁したときの水揚げに際して唄われていた歌に踊りをつけた 閖上大漁唄込み踊りが伝承され ており 名取市指定文化財になっている 東日本大震災では 旧市街の全戸が津波被災を受けた 名取市の復興計画では貞山堀の東側地 域は居住禁止地区となっており 土地のかさ上げを行ったうえで内陸側に集団移転が行われる予 定である 69

79 F-0 仙台市若林区荒浜地区 荒浜地区は仙台市沿岸中央部に位置し 地区内を貞山堀が流れ この堀周辺に家並みが連な る 町場的な景観を有し 戸数は 600 弱である 江戸時代に漁村集落として一村を成していたが 江戸時代当初より内陸側が大規模に新田開発されており 半農半漁の集落である 昭和 30 年代まで 現在深浦海水浴場になっている砂浜より出漁し マグロ漁などを営んでい たが 水揚げ港がないため 閖上港に船を着けて漁を続ける人たちもいた また 貞山堀でのシ ジミ漁なども盛んであった 民俗芸能は現在伝承されていないが 鹿踊の頭が残されており大正時代まで舞われていたこと が知られる 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波被災をした 仙台市の復興計画では県道の東側地域 が居住禁止地区となっており 内陸側に集団移転が行われる予定である 79

82 G-0 多賀城市八幡地区 八幡地区は 多賀城市の中心部 JR 多賀城駅の東側の一帯である 市街化した地域であるが その中に江戸時代八幡村以来の旧家が点在している 八幡村は仙台藩士天童家が在地領主で知行 しており その家臣であった半農半士の在郷武士が所在していた 昭和 17 年 多賀城に海軍工廠がおかれ 土地の強制収容が行われた この際 中谷地地区が 八幡地区内に集団移転している 地区の鎮守は地名の由来にもなっている八幡神社である 江戸時代の記録に 往古大社二而 と記され 多くの社家 社僧がいたとされている また 中谷地地区で伝承されていた鹿踊が伝 えられている 檀那寺としては臨済宗の宝国寺と不磷寺がある 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波の浸水を受けたが流出等はあまりなかった 多賀城 市の復興計画では現住地での復旧の予定になっている 83

115 H-0 塩竈市浦戸寒風沢地区 寒風沢は 松島湾口に帯状に連なる浦戸諸島の一つ 寒風沢島の集落である 浦戸諸島は 松 島湾を塞ぐように連なっており 東日本大震災の津波についても 防波堤の役割を果たした 戸数は 100 戸ほどで 湾内でのカキ ノリなどの養殖漁業を営んでいる また 島内の平地 には田地が広がっており 農業も盛んである 江戸時代は寒風沢浜で一村をなしていた 石巻方 面から仙台方面に向かう船が暴風にあったときなどの風待ち港として利用されていたとされる 地区内に幕府が御城米蔵を設け 仙台藩も御穀改所を設けるなど 交通の要衝でもあった 地区の鎮守は神明神社で 檀那寺として真言宗寒風寺 臨済宗松林寺がある 東日本大震災では 地区の多くが津波被災により流出した 塩竃市の復興計画では高台への集 団移転が予定されている 117

122 I-0 七ヶ浜町吉田浜 花渕浜地区 吉田浜と花渕浜は七ヶ浜半島の東端 太平洋に突き出た花渕崎と波多崎に挟まれた場所に隣り 合って位置する 近年 半島の中央部で進められてきた住宅開発が広がり 地区にも住宅団地が 造成されるようになってきている 戸数は花渕浜が 450 戸ほど 吉田浜が 250 戸ほどである 吉田浜 花渕地区は上記のようにサラリーマン等が混住しているが 主要な生業は漁業といっ て差し支えない 共同で漁港を持ち 市場も開かれている 沿岸漁業を中心に ノリ養殖 素潜 りのウニ アワビ漁などが営まれている 地区内には花渕浜の鎮守として鼻節神社がある また 境内に大根明神の仮宮を祀る 大根明 神は塩竃神社の末社で 花渕崎の沖合 7 キロメートルにある岩礁である 吉田浜の鎮守は吉田 神社で 春の例祭には吉田浜獅子舞が奉納される 七ヶ浜町指定文化財となっている 東日本大震災では 漁港周辺部を中心に津波の大きな被害を受けた 七ヶ浜町の復興計画では 内陸高台への集団移転が予定されている 125

131 J-0 松島町手樽地区 手樽地区は 松島湾の北部沿岸に位置する 江戸時代の手樽村の範囲で 元手樽 早川 三浦 左坂 古浦 名籠の 6 集落からなる 現在世帯数はおよそ 250 弱である 元来多くの集落が松 島湾の沿岸集落であったが 江戸時代以来の埋め立てにより内湾が田地化しており 沿岸の集落 は古浦 名籠でそれぞれ 35 戸ほどの世帯数である 主要な生業は養殖漁業で カキとノリが中心となっている 農地は元来ほとんど無かったもの とみられるが 前記の通り現在は埋め立てが進み 沿岸集落にも田地が広がる 東日本大震災では 松島湾内は湾口の島々が防波堤となり沿岸地域を中心に浸水被害を受けた が軽度の被災であった 現住地で復旧の予定である 135

143 K-0 東松島市宮戸月浜地区 月浜は松島湾の北端に位置する宮戸島の一集落である 戸数は約 40 戸ほどで 外洋に面した 入り江に集まっていた 江戸時代は宮戸島全体で 宮戸浜として一村を構成し 月浜はそのうち の一字となる 主要な生業は 漁業で ノリ カキの養殖を中心に 刺し網漁 小規模定置網漁などの沿岸漁 業を営んでいる また 月浜の海岸は海水浴場になっており 民宿を営む家も多い 地区内には五十鈴神社があり鎮守となっている 月浜では えんずのわりと呼ばれる小正月行 事を行っている 小学生から中学生の男子が 5 日間の籠もりを行った後 集落内の家々を訪問 し鳥追いの歌を唄う行事で 重要無形民俗文化財に指定されている 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波の被災を受け流出した 東松島市の復興計画では高 台に集団移転が行われる予定である 147

170 L-0 東松島市鳴瀬浜市地区 浜市地区は 鳴瀬川の河口左岸に位置しする 世帯数 130 戸ほどの集落である 江戸時代よ り浜市村として一村をなしていた 地区の生業は 農業 特に稲作が中心である 歴史的には 江戸時代までは河口の集落として 鳴瀬川舟運で集まった物資を仙台 石巻に運搬する物流の拠点であった また こうした立地も あり 明治時代になると日本初の近代港湾の整備が決まり 野蒜築港が事業化された この時期 は工事関係者などにより新興市街地が形成された 事業そのものは開始後 3 年目に台風により 破壊され 事業は放棄された 新興市街地も現在は田地となっている 地区内には石上神社があり鎮守である 檀那寺は曹洞宗津龍院である また 鳴瀬川上流 加 美町宮崎熊野神社の浜降り行事の受け入れ地でもある 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波の被害を受け壊滅的な被災をした 東松島市の復興 計画では 内陸側に集団移転が行われる予定である 175

191 N-0 石巻市牡鹿町新山浜地区 新山浜は牡鹿半島の太平洋側 通称浦浜の最南部の集落である 集落の戸数は約 30 戸である 江戸時代は新山浜として一村をなしていた 地区の生業は漁業で 刺し網漁など沿岸漁業が盛んである また 夏場を中心に釣客向けの民 宿経営も多い 地区内には八鳴神社があり 鎮守となっている 表浜に位置する十八成浜にある陽山寺が檀那 寺となる また 2 月 8 日に事八日行事になる人形様行事が行われる 藁性の人形を載せた御輿 を作り 地区内の家々を巡って書く家の厄除けをする行事である 東日本大震災では 震源地に最も近い集落であったが 地区内の家屋が高台に位置していたこ ともあり 漁港周辺に大きな被害を受けただけにとどまった 現住地で復旧の予定である 197

214 O-0 石巻市雄勝町大浜地区 大浜は雄勝半島の湾側の集落である 地区の戸数は約 40 戸である 江戸時代は大浜として一 村をなしている 主要な生業は漁業で 現在はワカメ ホタテ ギンザケ等の養殖漁業が盛んである 地区の鎮守は葉山神社である 本宮は石峰山の山上に烏帽子型の巨石を神体とした石神社であ る 石神社および葉山神社の宮司を務める千葉家は江戸時代の羽黒派修験市明院の子孫で 同院 では他の修験院とともに神楽を伝えていた これが重要無形民俗文化財雄勝法印神楽の元である 現在も雄勝法印神楽の本拠地となっている また 神楽とも密接に関わる獅子舞が独立し 大浜 の人たちによって正月に行われる春祈祷行事で演じられている 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波の被害を受け壊滅的な被災をした 石巻市の復興計 画では 高台移転が行われる予定である 221

219 P-0 石巻市北上町追波地区 追波地区は 北上川河口左岸に位置する 本地区の東側に旧北上川役場があり 旧北上町の中 心的な市街地を形成していた 地区の戸数は約 90 戸である 追波は江戸時代十三浜村の一集落 である その名の通り十三の浜集落からなる十三浜村の最南西端の集落となる 現在の地区の主な生業は 旧北上町の中心市街地ということもあり多様化している 十三浜村 全体で見ると漁業が中心となるが 本地区は半農半漁の地区であった 本地域には釣石神社が鎮座する 自然の巨石を神体とする本社は その不安定な神体から 落 ちそうで落ちない釣石神社 として合格祈願や選挙の当選祈願に効能があるとして信仰を集めて いる 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波の被害を受け壊滅的な被災をした 石巻市の復興計 画では かさ上げを伴う現住地復旧と高台移住が地区内で併存する予定である 227

239 R-0 南三陸町歌津地区 歌津地区は志津川湾の北辺一帯の地域で 16 の集落からなる 中心市街地を形成していた伊 里前地区を除き 沿岸の集落は リアス式海岸の入り江に漁港を設け その後背地に集落が形成 されている 地区の世帯数は 1,500 戸弱である 歌津地区は 近世以来一村を成し 平成の大 合併まで市町村合併を経験していなかった 沿岸地域の主要な生業は漁業で ホヤ カキを中心とした養殖漁業を行っていた また 岩礁 が発達したリアス式海岸が続くことからウニ アワビのカギ漁が盛んである 多くの集落で獅子舞が伝承されているほか 寄木地区の小正月行事ささよは 子どもたちが豊 穣を祈願し家々を回る行事として知られ 町の指定文化財になっている 東日本大震災では 津波により 漁港を中心とした低地部に壊滅的な被害を受けた 南三陸町 の復興計画では 浸水地域の住宅の高台移転が予定されている 249

242 S-0 気仙沼市鹿折浪板地区 浪板地区は 気仙沼湾の最奥部 湾に流入する鹿折川の左岸側に広がる場所に位置する 総戸 数はおよそ 200 である 江戸時代は鹿折村に属する一集落である 近年は気仙沼の市街地の拡 大に伴い新興住宅地も地区内に広がる 主要な生業は漁業であるが 近年は 造船所の立地があいつぎ また前記の通り中心市街地に 通勤するサラリーマンが増えている それまでは 地先漁業を営む漁師が多かった 地区の鎮守は鹿折八幡神社となる 祭礼では 鹿折の 4 地区が持ち回りで当番を決め御輿の 巡航を行う 浪板内には 須賀神社 飯綱神社があり それぞれ祭礼を行っている これら祭礼 には虎舞が行われる 気仙沼市の指定文化財になっている 東日本大震災では 鹿折川沿いの家を中心に津波の被害を受け流出した 気仙沼市の復興計画 では 一部高台移転 一部土地のかさ上げを行っての現住地復旧の予定である 253

267 T-0 気仙沼市唐桑宿地区 宿地区は 宮城県最北唐桑半島の中央部に位置する 湾の最奥部は馬場地区といい旧唐桑町役 場ほか公共施設が集中する旧唐桑町の中心地である 宿地区を含む唐桑半島部は江戸時代 唐桑 村として一村をなし 宿地区はその一集落となる 主要な生業は漁業となる 現在はカキ ホタテの養殖漁業が中心となるが かつて 遠洋漁業 の最盛期には 遠洋漁業漁師の共有地として唐桑半島は知られ 壮年以下の男性は遠洋漁業に出 ることが多かった 地元では隠居した老年者を中心に地先漁業が営まれていた 地区内には唐桑地域の鎮守である早馬神社が鎮座し信仰を集める 同社の祭礼には宿打ち囃子 獅子舞が奉納される 気仙沼市指定文化財になっている 東日本大震災では 地区のほぼ全戸が津波により壊滅的な被害を受けた 気仙沼市の復興計画 では 高台移転が行われる予定である 279

277 3.2. Summary This document is a collection of reports entitled the Investigation of the Damage to Folk Cultural Assets from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The Miyagi Prefecture Regional Heritage Rebuilding Executive Committee delegated the research contained in this collection to be carried out after the coastal areas of Miyagi Prefecture suffered catastrophic damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11, This collection of reports records the current state of folk local businesses, and customs of the regional societies in the area. The study covered each regional society on the coast of Miyagi Prefecture from Kesennuma to Yamamoto. This collection of reports aims aftermath of the disaster, and covers the administration policies involved in promoting the regional so- - Needless to say, there is a great variety of folk culture and entertainment in Miyagi Prefecture. - - generations.
