Theoretical calculations show no bonding interaction between the skeletal atoms of 2. Although 2 has 6π-electrons in the 4-membered ring, the IS value indicates small aromaticity. eactions of 2 with MeOH and l 4 show that 2 has both closed-shell and radical-type reactivity. 11
