How Learning Styles Affect One s Preference and Interests in Foreign Language Class Through Data Analysis on Students' Evaluations in CALL Classes KUDO, Tae Language Education and Research Center KUSUNOKI, Rika Language Education and Research Center Abstract The objective of this study is to examine how students' learning style affects their learning in foreign language acquisition, specifically CALL classes, and to suggest what roles teachers should play in the foreign language classroom. The authors collected the following data from
approximately students enrolled in CALL classes: the results of students' learning styles using Myers Briggs Type Indicator, their skills, literacy and interests in computing and their evaluation of the four different CALL activities. Based on the data, this study examines how learning style affects one's preference and interest in different CALL activities. After analyzing the results, teachers' roles are discussed.
