PISA The Change of Education in Austria After PISA Foucusing on the Test Culture in German-speaking Area ITO Mihoko Abstract : The purpose of this study is to analyze the standardtests in Austria, which is required at 4 th and 8 th grades every three year after the implementation of educational standards of German, Mathematics and English. In the long history of the school system in German-speaking area, the test culture had not existed, until PISA was started. However after PISA the number of tests has been increasing with the standardtests.
