1) 2) 3) 250Hz 500Hz RESEARCH ON THE PHYSICAL VOLUME OF THE DYNAMIC VIBRATION RESPONSE AND THE REDUCTION OF THE FLOOR IMPACT SOUND LEVEL IN FLOORS OF RESIDENTIAL HOUSING Hideo WATANABE *1 This study was conducted in order to exhibit the appropriate floor finishing structures. First, the measurement of the dynamic vibration response characteristics and the sensuous estimation test for evaluating a sense of walking were both conducted by using the floor finishing structures in the residential houses. Then clarified the relation between the reduction of the light-weight floor impact sound, and either the dynamic vibration response physical volume or the sensuous evaluation volume. After that, the method was examined for estimating the reduction of the light-weight floor impact sound from the dynamic vibration response physical volume. At the same time, the floor in the residential house was evaluated from both of the reduction of the light-weight floor impact sound and the sensuous evaluation volume. The experimental results are as follows: 1) The regression equations were determined after comparatively well corresponding results were obtained from the reduction of the light-weight floor impact sound and the dynamic vibration response physical volume such as the dynamic displacement volume, the dynamic spring constant, the impact frequency, and the impact Impedance level. Then, using these equations, it was indicated that there was a possibility to estimate the reduction of the light-weight floor impact sound. 2) The relation between the dynamic vibration response characteristics and the sensuous estimation was made clarified and appropriate physical volume corresponding to the desirability in the floor finishing structure in the residential house were indicated. 3) The relation between the reduction of the light-weight floor impact sound and the sensuous evaluation volume was made clalified and was showed that the sensuous changes correspond most to the frequency at 250Hz and 500Hz. *1 *1 Technical Research Institute
