February 75 pp QC QC p QC QC NTT DIAMOND pp pp pp TQC TQC TQC Methods of Creative Thinking and Techniques for QC and New QC ABSTRACT This paper discusses creative thinking, flexibility of thinking, decision-making processes, view points of the complexity system as a basic framework of thinking, organizational knowledge creation, tools of QC, and new QC as Japanese techniques of quality control. Dr. Hiroshi Tasasa insists on the importance of knowing based on the complexity paradigm and management by the complexity system. Complexity knowing means wholeness knowing, and yields emergence knowing and resonance knowing etc.. Complexity management leads to self organizasion, then individual spontaneities change previous management styles to new organizational culture formed by group order. Professor Ikujiro Nonaka notes the importance of organizational knowledge creation. In self organization, there are knowledge conversion of organizational tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge, and their spiral development which changes organizational structure and culture. Activities of Japanese organizational QC circle have Q 7 (seven tools for Quality Control) and N 7 (seven new tools for Total Quality Control). The former consists of statistical techniques and latter consists of linguistic techniques. Both of them are techniques easy enough for everyone s usage and they consist of techniques to discover task and its solutions.
