1 Letter from District 76, May & June District 76 便り 5 月 &6 月合併号 Contents/ 目次 Messages from Outgoing Officers/ 退任役員からのメッセージ Announcement of recorded online-seminars/ オンラインセミナー録画版公開のご案内 Introduction of new clubs/ 新クラブの紹介 Messages from Outgoing Officers/ 退任役員からのメッセージ Kyoko KITAMURA, DTM, District Director 北村恭子, DTM, 年ディストリクトディレクター 2015 年より 3 期にわたり クラブ担当ディレクター 教育担当ディレクター そして今期ディストリクトディレクターと 3 役を務めさせていただきました この 3 期の間 本来私が皆様をお支えするところ 大変多くの会員の皆様に支えていただきました 感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです ディストリクト 76 の 3 役としては多分初めて 30 代前半でこれらの役職を歴任させていただきました 多くの皆様と同様に 30 代前半期において 転職 ( といっても 私の場合は大学を異動したというので一般的な転職よりは転勤の方が近いかと思います ) 結婚 出産と多くのライフイベントを経験いたしました 若いリーダーとして ライフイベントと共に 3 役を務めることができたのは ディストリクト 76 がしっかりとした土台を有し かつ 若いリーダーを育むことのできる豊かな土壌を有している ということだと思います この環境がなければ 私はこの 3 役に立候補することも出来なかったでしょうし 務め上げることも出来なかったと思っています これは ひとえに会員 1 人 1 人の努力によって 相互学習の場である Toastmasters のミッションが達成され 常によい環境を作ってくださっているおかげだと思います
2 お1 人お1 人に感謝の気持ちを述べるスペースがございませんが 今期は特に出産 子育てという未知の経験をいたしまして 産後は心が折れそうになっていたところ 前期ディストリクトディレクターの二名澄子さんには 誰よりも厳しく 誰よりも優しく 励ましをいただきました 二名さんのお言葉がなければ 産後の復帰が難しかったと今でも思っています ここに特筆して感謝を述べさせていただきたいと思います 教育担当ディレクターの石原堅さんは 数年前からとても心配していた本当に Pathways の導入をスムーズに行っていただきました また産休中に多くの業務を代行していただきました クラブ担当ディレクターの豊嶋依里さんには これも CGD の頃からずっと気にしていた沖縄のクラブ再構築につきまして 全力を挙げてサポートいただきました 広報宣伝マネージャーの中保篤彦さんには ディストリクト 76 として初めて本格的に外部に向けた広報を開始していただきました 財務マネージャーの源京子さんには とても分かりやすい会計とスムーズな処理を年間通して続けていただきました 総務マネージャーの小原弘貴さんは 8 年前京都クラブの一役員だった私をディストリクト役員まで引き込んだ張本人の 1 人だと思っていますが 業務の面でも気持ちの面でもいつもスムーズなディストリクト運営ができるように支えていただきました 今期初めて設けた Webmaster のマイク向田さんには Website の定期的な更新から なんと刷新まで行っていただき ディストリクトからの情報を遅滞することなく皆様に送ることができるようになりました WHERE LEADERS ARE MADE Toastmasters が掲げているミッションを表現するキャッチフレーズですが 本当に会員の皆様方にリーダーとなるように育てていただきました 今期は Distinguished District となることもできました どんなに立派な種があったとしても 豊かな土壌がなければ花を咲かせることができないように 若いリーダー 新しいリーダーもまた 豊かな土壌がなければ育つことができません その土壌を作るのは皆様方です この 3 役という何事にも変えがたい貴重な時間を過ごさせていただきましたことを感謝いたします For 3 terms since 2015, I have served as District Trio; Club Growth Director (CGD), Program Quality Director (PQD), District Director (DD). I am filled with gratitude that I have been supported by a great deal of members, even though I should support you during these three terms.
3 As a District 76 trio probably for the first time, I took charge of these positions in the early 30s. As usual, I also experienced many life events such as a job changes, marriage, becoming a mother during these three years. As a young leader I could serve these three positions at the same timing of life events, because District 76 has strong basement and has well-developed field to make young leaders grow. Without the environment, I could not serve these positions even neither I could become candidates. This is simply because each members are making efforts to make great environment to empower people under the Toastmasters mission. Although I don t have enough space to show my sincere appreciations to one by one, I would like to show my appreciation in particular to Immediate Past District Director Sumiko Futana, DTM. She encouraged me more strictly and kindly than anyone else when I lost my heart after becoming a mother that was extremely hard than I imagined ever. Without her encouragement, I could not continue District Director until the end of this term. PQD TM Katashi Ishihara led members to Pathways smoothly and he took in charge of my assignments during my maternity leave. CGD Eri Teshima, DTM strongly supported Okinawa revitalization which I have anxious since I was CGD. Public Relations Manager TM Atsuhiko Nakayasu has started for the first time and in earnest to advertise outside of Toastmasters. Finance Manager TM Kyoko Minamoto made understandable and continuously smooth account system. Administrations Manager Hiroki Ohara, DTM, who is one of the people to led me to a district officer, supported district organization from the side of business and mind. Webmaster which is the newly created office in this term TM Mike Mukaida maintained District 76 website up to date furthermore he revitalized the website. Thanks to his support we could inform to members without delay. WHERE LEADERS ARE MADE This is the catch phrase to express our Toastmasters mission. I would like to say that I was made as a leader by all of members. Furthermore, we could achieved Distinguished District. As like the flowers cannot bloom without welldeveloped field even if there were special seeds, the young leaders or new
4 leaders cannot grow without the fulfilling field. The field is made by all of you. I sincerely appreciate that I could spend such precious time as a District trio. Hiroki OHARA, DTM, Administration Manager 小原弘貴, DTM, 年総務マネージャー 2016 年より2 年間総務マネージャーを担当しました それまでディストリクト76 役員は5 期務めたのでもういいかな と思っていましたが ご縁がありましたので更に2 期追加となりました ディストリクト76は今変革の時期を迎え 役員の平均年齢も若くなり 次のリーダーを熱望しております 今後の新しいリーダーの登場に期待しております Since 2016, I have been in charge of Administration Manager for 2 years. Until then, I had served as a District 76 officer for 5 consecutive fiscal years, so I thought I should step down. However, feeling a tie between D76 and me, I decided to serve another 2 fiscal years. District 76 is changing dramatically. The average age of the District officers is getting younger and next leaders are eagerly desired. I also look forward to having our new leaders for the future. I have really enjoyed working as a district finance manager the last couple years. It has been such an honor to dedicate myself to the district and complete all of the district finance tasks.
