15 THE ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM Come visit the world's largest exhibition of dinosaurs. The Royal Tyrrell Museum is located in Drumheller, Alberta, and it takes about one and a half hours from Calgary by car. You can see more than thirty-five complete dinosaur skeletons the largest collection under one roof anywhere! This world-class facility is the destination of approximately three hundred and fifty thousand visitors each year. Time recommended for exploring the Museum Gallery is two to six hours. It allows you to exit and re-enter the Museum on the day of your visit. bring deliver give keep Summer Program The Royal Tyrrell Museum has all kinds of programs for people of all ages and abilities. Whether you want to do some hands-on digging for dinosaurs in the badlands, spend the night in our popular Camp-in program, we guarantee that you will have an experience of a lifetime. Programs are offered on a first, first served basis. Day Digs Join us at a dinosaur excavation in the Drumheller Valley and help us uncover the rich *paleontological history of Alberta. You will be working side-by-side with museum staff excavating real dinosaur bones and learning technical skills such as the mapping and jacketing of fossils. Day Digs is part of a multi-year research project, made possible solely through the energy and enthusiasm of participants like you! You must be at least 10 years of age or older to participate in a Day Dig. Adult: $90 (16 and over), Youth: $60 (10-15 accompanied by an adult) Lunch, snacks, transportation to the quarry and admission to the Museum on the day of the program are included. A 30% discount is available when you book your second and subsequent days. This discount will be applied from the first day. 29

17 Nelson Region and National Park Nelson, at the top of the South Island, is an extraordinary corner of New Zealand; a beautiful region caught between sweeping beaches and the northern edge of the Southern Alps. It is home to diverse communities that have bloomed on rich land in a Mediterranean climate. The relative isolation has fostered an unusual culture while preserving much of the land in a peaceful, natural state. In the region, there are three national parks all within a ninety minute drive of each other, yet offering totally different experiences. They are Abel Tasman (coastal), Nelson Lakes (alpine) and New Zealand's newest and second largest national park Kahurangi (wilderness). These and other natural areas are the base for a wide range of eco-tourism experiences. 31
