3 学際大規模情報基盤共同利用 共同研究拠点 平成 24 年度共同研究 中間報告書 2012 年 12 月 後藤俊幸 名古屋工業大学創成シミュレーション Box 乱流 地球シミュレータを用いて実施した 工学専攻 一様等方性乱流の高効率な世界最大規模 DNS(格子 大規模 DNS コード開発 DNS の実施 点数 40963)の実績および経験から 京コンピュー 森下浩二 名古屋大学大学院工学研究科 タで可能な計算サイズと 乱流場の準定常状態を 得るのに必要なステップ数 それに必要な計算時 4 月より神戸大学大学院システム情報学研究科 大規模 DNS データの可視化 間と考慮し 目標とする計算実行効率を設定し 賀谷信幸 神戸大学大学院システム情報学研究科 詳細な計画を立てて 京コンピュータの一般利用 陰山 聡 神戸大学大学院システム情報学研究科 の申請をしたところ 採用され 1.5 年で 900 万ノ ード時間の計算時間を得ることが出来た (2) 共同研究分野 超大規数値計算系応用分野 (3) 当公募型共同研究ならではという事項など 計算流体力学, 統計物理学, 情報科学の分野の 研究者の学際的な共同を実施することにより ス ーパーコンピュータを用いて作成した大規模乱流 データベースが様々な視点から有効利用され 結 果として乱流 特に高 Re 乱流 の構造などに対し て理解が深まった これに伴い 新しい統計的手 法の開発 効率的な並列計算手法 大規模データ に対しする可視化技術など 各分野の活性化につ ながった 拠点 名古屋大学情報基盤センター との共同 研究を推進することにより 並列化手法に関係し た情報が共有でき 特に 3 次元乱流燃焼 DNS コー ドの開発とその並列化および最適化が進展し 短 期間で物理的に意味のある結果が得られた 図 1: 高速ボリュームレンダリングを用いた対話的な没入 神戸大学との共同により 乱流中の渦構造の 4 可視化により 高 Re 乱流中に強い渦管が密に集合して渦 次元可視化 3 次元没入可視化 時系列 が実現 の大規模組織構造(強い剪断)を形成している様子. 強乱 し その有効性が確認できた また 研究室のグ 流領域と乱流の非常に弱い領域のシャープな界面の構造 ラフィックワークステーションにおいても 3 次元 の詳細が確認できる 可視化が実現でき 3D 可視化用(GFA)ファイルの 共有が可能であることが確認できた 現在のところのコード開発は 地球シミュレー 乱流の大規模 DNS データの整備および対話的可 タ用の DNS コードに京コンピュータ用に開発され 視化により 高 Re 乱流中の渦度場の詳細な 3 次元 た FFT を組み込んだのみであるが 今後 京のイ 構造の把握が可能になった ンターコネクト Tofu に特化した FFT および乱 流 DNS に特化したデータ通信 セクターキャッシ 3. 研究成果の詳細 ュの積極的な利用 また FFT の使用を一部高精 (A)乱流のカノニカルな問題(周期境界条件下の 度差分に置き換えたハイブリッド計算等の性能比 Box 乱流, 平行平板間乱流)の DNS 較を可能な限り実施し 京の性能を最大限に引き 3
