Two species of blenniid fish, Cirrisalarias bunares and Ecsenius oculus, were collected from Yaku-shima Island, southern Japan, being described as northernmost records of the species and first records from Yaku-shima Island on the basis of collected specimens. In addition, Nannosalarias navitatus is also described in detail on the basis of male and female specimens from Yaku-shima Island. Underwater observations of C. bunares, E. ocullus and N. navitatus suggest them to reproduce around Yaku-shima Island. Aspidontus dussumieri and Petroscirtes breviceps, were also recorded from Yaku-shima Island, southern Japan, on the basis of collected specimens for the first time.
