140 プール学院大学研究紀要第 49 号 (ABSTRACT) One View of respite care by parents of mentally-challenged Children : Through Hawaiian camp. TAKADA Sayaka Camp and a sightseeing tour of the city were performed at a Hawaiian campsite in Oahu in December in 2007 mainly by a mentally-challenged children and the mother. While a mentallychallenged person is doing camp, it seems that mothers could talk between the persons who enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city and a shopping and have the same problem. A parent can take a rest for even a short while by a mentally-challenged children offering the program which enjoys leisure activity this. And I can think the Japanese old way of thinking by which we have assumed that the family nursing is natural is related to a background of mother behavior. When not to make them enter facilities, but respite care is enriched a parent nursed person with disabilities s child until the limit, and when reaching the limit, it s possible to choose a right program each and participate. Using there, time of oneself who do the thing which can t usually be done when a parent discusses worries, freely, I have time, it may be necessary to secure a chance as respite care.
