There are concerns, but not any studies in transportation sectors. Then, we research two things: First, we arrange current status and issues on workforces and technical succession in transportation sectors. Second we investigate the awareness and counter measures to stable recruit and technical succession problems in railway, bus and aircraft maintenance companies through questionnaires and hearing surveys. This study shows that transportation companies have, more or less, awareness of the issues and carry out many measures to solve them. This study also compares each transportation companies to find out common problems among transportation sectors. Finally we present implications based on this comparison to transportation companies and policy makers. Key Words : 7 shocks, baby boomer, s retirement, stable recruit, technical succession 16 Vol.11 No.1 8 Spring
