The burden of judo-therapist training has been placed on the shoulders of technical schools for many years. However, new judo-therapist training schools have been established and in operation since 2002, including the Nippon Sport Science University, placing the number of specialty schools at 14. Bearing this in mind, a study to determine the discrepancies in the future prospects of university and technical school students in judo-therapist development courses was initiated. The results of the study revealed that, when compared with technical school students, the number of university students who intended to open up judo-therapy clinics in the future was low, while the number looking to become a trainer was quite high. This study shows that there is indeed a discrepancy in the prospect of licensing between university students and technical school students. 2002 2014 14 (Received: October 24, 2017 Accepted: December 7, 2017) Key words: questionnaire, judo-therapist, university students, technical school students 1 1932 70 2002 14 15 1 1) 2015 949 11
