Abstracts AStudy on the Development of the Cultural Properties Policy in Korea from 1902 until 1962 OHASHI Toshihiro The investigation of cultural properties in Korea by Dr. Tadashi Sekino in 1902 was astartingpointforthe cultural properties policy development in Korea. During the rule of Japan, Korean cultural properties policy was developed on the model of Japanese legislative system. This legislative system on cultural properties was remained after the liberation from the rule of Japan until 1962, when Korea cultural properties protection law was enacted. This article deals with the development of the cultural properties policy in Korea from 1902 until 1962, and tries to show the structure and background of the development.
