Yuasa Hachiro and the 20th Century (4) <Summary> Takeda Kiyoko* 1. Supplement for the article on ICU in No. 51. Women with capable "wings" fostered in a new genuine co-educational university in post war Japan under the feminist president Yuasa. 2. The inquiry into the Japanese cultural roots for Yuasa Hachiro and his discovery of the "heart" of the folk arts the unique beauty of folk arts produced by poor commoners and workers of Japan in Edo period and the following years. 3. His visit to Nepal when his only son, Yo was working for Hansen's disease (leprosy) as his life work and the impression of the spiritual beauty of Himalayas Yuasa received as the creation of God. 4. His dedicated and enthusiastic works lecturing to the working young people of various professions in Osaka Shimin Daigaku (Osaka Citizens' School) until two weeks before his death. 5. Some episodes in his late years. 6.
