GRAMMAR REVIEW: Topic: Superlatives (5-6 minutes) ( 最上級 ) Superlatives are a form of an adverb or adjective that describes the greatest degree of quality. ( 最上級とは 副詞または形容詞の度合いが最大である形式をいいます ) For adjectives and adverbs with one or two syllables, the superlative is formed by adding est to the word. (e.g. clear--clearest) ( 形容詞 副詞が 1 つ 2 つの音節からなるものであれば 最上級はその単語に-est を加えた形となります 例 clear 澄んだ--clearest 最も澄んだ ) For adjectives and adverbs with more than two syllables, and for adverbs ending in -ly the superlative is formed by adding the word most or least depending on the degree.
