1 1 Skype Hoop-type Video Chat System for Reducing Senses of Distance and Resistance Shingo Fujita 1 and Takashi Yoshino 1 As the progress of information and telecommunications technology, free video chat tools have been widespread. Essential problems of free video chat tools are the senses of distance and psychological resistance. We have developed a hooptype video chat system, called Hole-in-a-wall hoop. This report presents the development of the system and the result of the experiment. From the result of the experiment, this system obtained the good evaluation compared with Skype for the sense of distance. 1.
