As an exchange student in Osaka University, I have learnt Japanese as the second foreign language, enjoyed the wonderful landscape and experienced the fascinating culture of Japan. And also, I made a great many friends with both international students and Japanese people, which should be the best memory in my life. Consequently, I would like to suggest you to take opportunities to study abroad. You will gain more than what you can imagine. If you are considering studying abroad now, I would like to tell you that Nanjing University, my home institution, is a fantastic place for you. Nanjing University has a history of more than 100 years, and many buildings of classical Chinese architectural style with a long history have been conserved in the campus, which makes Nanjing University one of the most attractive places in China. Nanjing University welcomes students from overseas and offers various courses for them. Professors always pay much attention to overseas students and have nice relationship with them. And the Chinese students are willing to associate and make friends with international students. Additionally, there are a variety of clubs in the university and overseas students are always welcomed. The life in Nanjing University should never be boring. Furthermore, Nanjing where Nanjing University is located is a wonderful place. It was the capital for six dynasties in Chinese history; therefore, there are many places of interest related to history, like Zhongshan Cemetary (Dr. Sun Yat-sen's mausoleum), Mingxiaoling, Zijin Mountain, Qinwai River, Confucius temple, etc. Besides, the location of Nanjing will enable you to visit other famous cities in China within a short time either by train or by bus, like Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, etc. Please come to Nanjing University, you will never be disappointed! 25

Do you want to study in an environment totally different from what you are used to? If so, you got what it takes to come study in English with us at McGill! Located in Montreal, Canada, McGill University is a renowned university that attracts students from around the world. Indeed, as much as 20% of the student population come from outside Canada, creating a vibrant international community! Come soak yourself in this warm and respectful multicultural environment! McGill has various faculties and is home of many sports teams competing all over the country. Sport is a tradition at McGill: did you know that basketball and the current form of ice hockey were both invented in McGill university? McGill is a leader in various research domains and is regularly cited as one of the best universities in Canada. It is well-knowed for its medecine and law schools, which has taught a handful of former canadian Prime Ministers. The current student population ranges around 30'000 students, taking lectures in one of the two campuses: downtown (main) or MacDonald (environmental science and the like). Being situated in the heart of Montreal, student life is shaped along the city's beating. Often McGill's surroundings become very lively, especially during summer when there are festivals and events all the time. Montreal's main events include cultural feasts, sporting events (F1 Grand Prix, ice hockey games, american football games, tennis tournament, etc.) and more! Montreal, being in the province of Quebec, is the second largest French-speaking city in the world. In spite of this title, it is truly a multicultural city and is the home of multiple foreign communities, including italians, greeks, arabs, chinese and more. Montreal is also subject to the famous canadian winter, which canadians either love or hate. But to many, winter means a season to practice many winter sports such as skating, skiing, snowmobile, etc. Come have a taste of our country! We hope to see you next year! 26
