2 図1 システムの基本構成図 対象エリアをクリックすると写真一覧画面が表示される 図2 クリッカブルマップの例 ケータイから Web ページを閲覧できるようにした ただし 後述する実証実験では 使用したケータイの機 能の制約があるために ケータイから直接 Web ページの閲覧は行っていない 図 3 は ケータイ閲覧用の画 面の例を示している 3 学習者と科学者の科学的コミュニケーション支援 clippickids のシステムを利用して 学校と科学者を結ぶ授業モデルを検討する試みとして 対話型バー チャル植物園を構築した このシステムでは clippickids の Web 上に科学者が学習用コンテンツを予め用 意して そのコンテンツをベースとしながら 学習者が植物に関する画像と文字情報を付け加えていくこと ができる こうした情報の閲覧と付加を通して Web 上に学習者と科学者が協同で植物図鑑を作成していこ 118

4 科学者が準備したコンテンツ トップページ 学習者が付加した写真と文字情報 図4 対話型バーチャル植物園のインターフェイスの例 であった 学習者には その 10 種類について 科学者の撮影した写真とコメントが紙媒体に印刷されたもの を資料として持参させた 30 分間の活動後 室内に戻り 各自コンピュータでバーチャル植物園を閲覧する とともに 科学者の詳しい野草の解説を聞いたり 自分たちが見つけた野草の特徴を発表したりした 5-2 評価 バーチャル植物園の有効性を評価するために 実証実験の時間内に質問紙によるプレ ポストテストを実 施した 所要時間は プレテスト 3 分 ポストテスト 10 分であった プレテストとポストテストでは 共に学習対象である野草 10 種類が同定できるかどうかを回答させた 次 に ポストテストでは 学習者の主観的評価を得るために 4 件法で 10 項目 探索はおもしろい 他者の写 真を見るのはおもしろい など に関する回答と 3 項目 バーチャル植物園の良い点 改善点 教育利用の 価値 の自由記述による回答を求めた 5-3 結果と考察 1 撮影枚数と観察記録の文字数 30 分の活動時間中に 対象者 12 名が撮影した写真の総数は 89 枚 1 名平均 7.4 枚 であった また メ ール本文への観察記録はすべての写真に付与されていた 観察記録の平均文字数は 約 24 文字であった 120
