AbstractInterprofessional working (IPW) has been recognized to be inevitable component in health systems. Interprofessional education (IPE) in higher educations is needed for students to achieve IPW competency. However, its contents, education strategies and evaluation tools have not been established yet in Japan. In this paper, we examined how IPE should be initiated in medical universities, based on the advanced efforts in some universities, and suggesting the ideal framework of IPE in Health Sciences University of Hokkaido.
