It is only inspiration that reaches the depths of the human soul. In recent years, methods of expression and communication have changed greatly with the development of digital technology. However, there is essentially no change to the inspiration and enjoyment that countless people can enjoy together. While taking this live-ism as our starting point, we at the Amuse Group will follow our unwavering course in order to fulfill the important role of a content provider who continues to deliver dreams and inspiration to people. 2 Introduction 3

Let s try again Perfume flumpool ONE OK ROCK WEAVER Aiming to Take Entertainment Global Reconfirming the Mission of the Amuse Group and Taking Action Representative Director and Chairman Yokichi Osato First of all, I am honored to once again participate in management planning for the Amuse Group as Representative Director and Chairman. I look forward to working with all of you once again. For several years now, there has been dramatic change in the environment surrounding the entertainment sector, and not only in the music industry; we have also seen the emergence of social media, the momentum in Korea, and the rest of Asia, as well as changes in people s tastes and preferences... Amid these changes and during the past three years of being at a remove from management, I have looked dispassionately at the organization that I myself have led for 30 years. While I hold feelings of deep respect for the efforts of the present management team at the helm of Amuse, I have begun to think that there must be other areas where our reforms and responses should be bolder while still carrying on the good aspects of the Amuse tradition, that which makes us Amuse. Naturally, the Amuse Group is nurturing wonderful young artists and the business is doing well. However, we recognize that we must deliver new quality entertainment for the enjoyment of everyone and in a form that better lends itself to the times; rather than just pushing ahead by carrying on the business in the same mold as now. To do this, I believe we must first aim to make the entertainment that we create popular in Asia and the world over, and we must do so at great speed. For this, we have no choice but to pull together as a company and redouble our efforts to leverage the expertise, know-how, and personal connections cultivated in the past in Asia and in the entertainment industry. In June 2011, we are establishing LIVE VIEWING JAPAN Inc., a new company with myself at the helm to enter the new business of live viewing. The business will use digital and network infrastructure technologies to broadcast content other than movies, not only in Japan, but also at movie theaters and live venues overseas. We hope that this new endeavor will become a milestone not only for the Amuse Group, but also for the entertainment industry in Japan. We look forward to your continued support. Representative Director and President Tatsuro Hatanaka I would like to start by expressing our sincere condolences to the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and their families. The thoughts of the Amuse artists and all employees of the Amuse Group are with those affected by the disaster. We look forward to the earliest possible recovery of the stricken areas. As one of the support activities of the Amuse Group following the earthquake, we have released the special charity song Let s try again featuring Keisuke Kuwata and the Team Amuse!! band. It is our sincere hope that this song will in some small way connect with the disaster recovery and support a return to good cheer and vitality in Japan. Despite these unforeseen circumstances, I am pleased to say that business at the Amuse Group is performing well. In addition to the consistent activities of veteran artists who have worked with us for many years, Perfume, flumpool, ONE OK ROCK, WEAVER, and others have had some wonderful concerts. We are also proud of our young performers, including Haruma Miura, Takeru Sato, Yuriko Yoshitaka, and Riisa Naka, whose promising development is clearly evident as they continue to appear on TV, in the movies and in commercials. In the video business, we have also handled productions featuring appearances by artists affiliated with Amuse, and we have received favorable reviews for effective productions that have leveraged the synergy of the Group. However, future economic trends are highly uncertain and in this business environment, we need to continue to seek to move into new businesses and new markets to stay even slightly ahead of the competition. Going forward, we will work out of our offices at Amuse Korea and the new Amuse Taiwan to push for expansion into Asia. We are rediscovering the mission of the Amuse Group, which is to deliver enjoyment and inspiration to all through entertainment, and we will focus on delivering quality entertainment to even more people.
