A Discussion about a Junior High School Boy and Girl Juvenile Delinquent Katsumi YAMAGUCHI In this paper, I would like to present two cases of a boy named Yumeo and a girl named Himeko. Yumeo was a thirteen year old boy who was in the seventh grade. He stayed at home for refusal to go to school in the second grade and his mother appealed to the Child Guidance Center for fear of child abuse. After two years he consistently went to school and finished therapy. However he also stayed at home for refusal to go to school in the seventh grade. Later he was caught by the police for theft and bodily harm, and he was institutionalized in the Child Self support Institution with his mother s consent. Himeko was a fourteen-year-old girl who was in the eighth grade. She came from an ordinary family and was the third of the five children in the family. She was indulged by her parents with everything. Siblings except her were quiet and serious. However she often ran away from home and practiced prostitution. After she was accommodated in the Juvenile Classification Office, she was institutionalized in the Child Self-support Institution by the court system. She also ran away from home after graduation. After all, she was institutionalized in a Reformatory.
