pp.- VOL.,NO. pp., Current Status of Ritsumeikan Employees Attitudes towards Work Performance and Concept of Career Development Support FUJITA Naotaka (Office of Human Resources) ITO Noboru (Senior Researcher, Research Center for Higher Education Administration) NISHIKAWA Yukio (Administrative Manager, Office of Human Resources) Employee Training System High performer Career awareness Understanding of issues throughout the entire university Opportunity to enhance abilities significantly Career development support program In the tackling of issues of research which have been promoted by the Academy, the purpose of this study is to examine the development of a program in the advancement of research, centering on career development, which has been left untouched. The first procedure of the research was to conduct a hearing for employees (18 high performers) who were thought to have made excellent achievements in each of their jobs. The occupational image required by employees of the Ritsumeikan Academy was reconsidered based on the interviews, and a questionnaire sheet was created. The questionnaire survey was conducted with all 459 employees (excluding APU employees), and the information was analyzed along with the prior interview results. As a result, it became evident that the growth of employees was related to the understanding of issues throughout the entire university, career satisfaction, and opportunities other than their assigned job responsibilities. A specific career development program was then developed from the results above.
