Bulletin of the Faculty of Foreign Studies, Sophia University, No. 412006 1 13 The Thirteen Conspirators in the Gunpowder Plot TOGO Takanori The Gunpowder Plot was an unsuccessful terrorist attempt intended to blow up the King and other important figures in England with the gunpowder hidden beneath the floor of the Parliament when it was going to start a new session on 5th November, 1605. This note presents a series of brief descriptions of all the thirteen conspirators who were involved in the plot in the chronological order of the timing of their participation.
