1 Vol.28 No Circulating Water Pumps for Higashidori Nuclear Power Station of Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. By Toshimitsu Katsumata and Akio Ido The Higashidori Nuclear Power Station is controlled by Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc.. The power plants are located jointly in Higashidori-mura, facing the Pacific Ocean, on the eastern side of the Shimokita Peninsula in Aomori Prefecture. Two units 1,100MW, 1,385MW are planned by Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and the other two units 1,385MW 2 are planned by Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. Now, 1,100MW plant is under construction. 3,200mm circulating water pumps with electric motor outputs 3,600kW were designed and manufactured for Tohoku Electric Power Higashidori Nuclear power plant unit No. 1 1,100MW and the test run in site was completed. The outline and feature of these pumps are introduced. 110 kw kw kw 525 kw 110 kw Pump specifications 3,200mm 11m 91,200m 3 /h 211min % 1,362 min 1, m 3 /min,m 3,600kW View of installation a JIS B /7.15JIS 30

3 IPP Vol.28 No Fan for Independent Power Producer IPP By Eiji Wakana DMW Corporation supplied FDF, GRF and BUF for IPP Independent Power Producer use to Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. Aichi Refinery via Babcock Hitachi K.K. Recently, the volume of the electric power supply and sales from IPP plant is increasing reflecting entry of new comers by reflecting deregulation in power sector. Under such situation, more application of fans, one of DMW s major products, is expected to be increasing. Each fan supplied is U-FAN models with high efficiency in order to save energy and so on.
