A Study on the Relations of Stress Evaluation Related with Consciousness of Supporting and Caring the Aged Jungsoo Yoon, Kazuo Nakajima, Jung-Suk Kim, Ki-Wook Um, Yasuhiro Kuroki This study based on the Korean data has been cultivated to examine that how consciousness of main supporters for the aged living at home has been worked as an effective variable in the process of lowering of the aged ward s physical functions and stress evaluation. The data has been collected from supporters of the aged living at home in small and medium-sized cities, Changwon Gyeongsangnamdo, Cheonan Chungcheongnamdo, and Suncheon Jeollamando in Korea. The questionnaire for this study is composed of supporter s sex and age, the aged ward s sex and age, relations between the aged and supporters, the aged ward s living dependency, supporter s consciousness of caring the aged, burdening of caring, and affirmativeness of caring. For this study, it has been mainly hypothesized that ADL have directly effected to burdening of caring alone, and also the ADL have been worked out as burdening of caring mingled with instrumental supporter s consciousness of caring or affirmativeness of caring. The collected data is analysed by Structural Equation Model. The results are as follows ; firstly, the data is suitable to the hypothesized model, secondly, the instrumental supporter s burdening of caring has indirectly effected between the aged ward s ADL and carer s burdening of caring, and has directly effected to affirmativeness of caring and burdening of caring. Finally, it is discussed that East-Asian social work models could be developed within the context of consciousness of supporting the aged.
