You will learn fundamental grammar structures and their application will be fostered through drills, construction phrases and sentences. This will develop into independent speech using previously learned phrases for various situations in daily life. Through this, your understanding of Japanese culture and customs will be deepened. You will also learn simple Kanji, which you will probably often see in daily life. Textbooks: Minna no Nihongo Elementary I Minna no Nihongo Elementary I: Translation & Grammar Explanation Basic Kanji Book Vol. 1 (Kanji 500) Assignments: You are required to study for the next lesson and review the previous lesson every day. You are also required to submit an assignment(s) at the end of every class. You must keep the deadline. Attendance: Class attendance is required. You have to inform your teacher if you will be absent. If your attendance is less than 2/3, you will not get any grade/credits.
