Abstract of Master s Thesis Academic Year 2002 A Research on Distance Education Studio using the Internet With distance edication using the Internet technology provides more flexible environment in education field.the demand for higher quality of classroom lectures is increasing with the choice of distance education with theinternet or any other media. The largest advantage of distance edutation is to solve the problem that lecturers need not visit even distant university,thus students can take the top-level professionals' lectures not only domestically but all overthe world. But while students can take classes in anywhere, the environment thatmakes lecturers to give lessons from anywhere is not prepared yet. The purpose of this research is to provide for teachers with an environment that any teachers can give their lectures from anywhere around the world using the Internet. The author designed a model andestablished the studios both in California and Maryland operate some classes with them both in AV aspects and the Internet aspects. These studios are used by Keio University, WIDE project and School on Internet project with six lecturers in edicational activities and the total time of this use is 22hours and 50 minites.
