11 2014 1 59 72 Ryuichi NAKAMOTO Abstract This paper introduces the method of active learning using case methods. We explain how to apply the method to a lecture in social sciences a field in which application of the method is considered quite challenging based on our experiences gained while teaching the class of Management Organization in 2013. The main topic of the lecture focuses on employees and organizations. The first section explains the case method in management education, while the second section describes the purpose of active learning methods using case methods. In the third section and the following sections, we illustrate how we design and conduct an actual lecture showing real examples in the lecture.
