2 I. 博士前期課程環境科学専攻 Master s Program in Environmental Sciences 1. 募集人数 Number of students for admission 若干名 Some students 2. プログラムの概要 Outline of the Program 本プログラムでは, 国際機関, 各国公的機関, あるいは非営利法人等の環境部門で実践的な研究活動や政策の立案, 計画の実施等に, 現に携わる研究者, 職員, あるいはその希望をもつ者で, 高度で実践的専門知識の習得を目指す留学生や当該機関の推薦に基づく派遣留学生を受け入れます 標準修了期間は 2 年間ですが, 早期修了も用意されています カリキュラムは複数のプログラム ( 環境ディプロマティックリーダー育成拠点プログラム, 廃棄物管理専門家養成コースおよび人材育成支援無償事業無償事業環境政策コース等 ) から成り, すべて英語で実施されます This Program accepts foreign students who are: (i) now enrolled or would like to be enrolled in practical research or policymaking in environmental divisions/sections of international organizations, national public organizations or non-profit organizations, and (ii) well-motivated to learn advanced and practice-oriented expert knowledge, or dispatched through recommendation of the organizations concerned. ICEP is a two-year program but early completion is available. The curriculum consists of several programs (e.g. Environmental Diplomatic Leader Education Program, Waste Management Expert Course, and Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship in Environmental Policy), all of which are provided in English. 3. 出願資格 Qualification for application 以下のいずれかひとつを満たすこと 1) 大学を卒業した者 2) 外国において, 学校教育における 16 年の課程を修了した者 3) 本学の大学院において, 個別の入学資格審査により, 大学を卒業した者と同等以上の学力があると認 めた者で,22 歳に達した者及び平成 23 年 7 月までに 22 歳に達する者 注 : 出願資格 (3) については, 出願資格認定審査の対象となります 必要に応じて所定の書類を提出願い ます Applicants must satisfy ONE of the following requirements: 1) To have been graduated from a university, 2) To have completed 16 years of school education outside Japan, or 3) Applicants who have alternative qualifications equivalent to the above, and who are now 22 years old or older than that, or will be 22 years old or older than that in July Note: Applicants who meet the qualification requirement (3) must have passed the examination for the qualification, and will be requested to fill in and submit the prescribed forms in advance before acceptance of the application for the examination. 4. 出願条件 Requirements for application 以下のすべての条件を満たすこと 2

3 1) 外国人留学生であること 2) 将来にわたって継続的に環境分野に従事する意思のある者 3) 入学後, 在職のまま在籍することを希望する者は, 勤務先より受験許可を得た者または当該機関等から 派遣された者 4) 心身ともに健康で本プログラムを修了するのに差し支えのない者 5) 授業等の受講に差し支えのない英語能力を有する者 Applicants must satisfy ALL of the following requirements: 1) Not to be a Japanese citizen, 2) To have a will to work as a specialist of environmental field, 3) To have permission for the application by the current employer or must be dispatched by the concerned organization if the applicant wishes to be still in office after enrollment in this Program, 4) The applicant must be in good health, both physically and mentally, to complete this Program, and 5) To have excellent knowledge of English language to take lectures in English. 5. 出願書類 Application procedures 1) 入学願書 本学所定の用紙に所要事項を記入し提出してください 2) 外国人出願者用履歴書 本学所定の用紙に所要事項を記入して提出してください 3) 職歴調書 職歴のある者は, 本学所定の用紙に所要事項を記入して提出してください 4) 受験票 写真票 本学所定の用紙に所要事項を記入し, 写真 ( 出願前 3 か月以内に撮影した無帽上半身正面のもの で, 大きさは 4cm 3cm) を貼って提出して下さい 5) 机上受験票 6) 検定料受領書 (30,000 円 ) 郵便局または指定銀行の指定口座に振込み受領書を入学願書の指定箇所に添付して下さい ( その 際, 払込人または氏名の欄に受験者氏名が記入されていることを確認してください ) 現金, 収入印紙, 小切手等では受け付けません 7) 卒業証明書 本学大学院への出願資格を満たす大学の卒業証明書を提出してください ( 通常は学士の学位を取 得した大学 / 学部 ) 8) 成績証明書 本学大学院博士前期課程への出願資格を満たす大学の成績証明書を提出してください ( 通常は学 士の学位を取得した大学 / 学部 ) なお, 編入学等により認定されている科目がある場合には, 編入学 等前の成績証明書も併せて提出してください 9) 研究業績目録 様式任意 論文等研究業績について提出してください 10) 研究計画書 様式任意 大学院における自分の研究計画について,A4 版 1 枚にまとめてください 11) 受験承認書 様式任意 3

4 現に, 官公庁 学校 会社等に在職している者 ( 非常勤, アルバイトを除く ) は, 当該所属長による受験承認書 ( 様式任意,A4 判 ) を提出してください 退職して入学する予定の者は, 本人がその旨明記した文書 ( 本人サイン必要 ) をもって, 受験承認書に代えることができます ただし, この場合は, 入学手続き時に 退職証明書 を提出してください 12) 外国人出願者調書本学所定の用紙に所要事項を記入し提出してください 13) 研究歴証明書 出願者のうち該当者 大学教育修了までの学校教育の課程が 16 年に満たない国において大学教育を修了した者で, 大学教育修了後, 日本国内若しくは国外の大学又は大学共同利用機関等これに準ずる研究機関等において, 研究生, 研究員等として相当期間 ( おおむね 1 年以上とする ) 研究に従事しており,22 才に達した者及びその見込みの者は, 本学所定の用紙に当該機関の長等の証明を受け, 提出してください 14) 研究生証明書 出願者のうち該当者 本学大学院研究生となっている外国人留学生は, 所定の用紙に本学留学生センターで証明を受け提出してください 15) 英語の認定書 TOEFL,TOEIC,GRE/GMAT,IELTS あるいはこれに相当する英語検定試験 ( 例えば,CET 等 ) の成績表を提出してください 本学の登録番号 TOEFL:0439, GRE/GRE:0439,GMAT:0491 注 : JDS の予約奨学金による授与資格を得た者は, 奨学生選考時の応募書類をもって, 本学への出願書類に代えることができます 代替可能な書類 : (3), (7), (9), (10), (11) および (14) なお, この際, 奨学金を給付する組織の長による, 留学生の推薦に関する説明書が必要です The following documents are required: 1) Application form (prescribed form) 2) Curriculum vitae (prescribed form) 3) Professional career (prescribed form) 4) Admission and photograph tickets for the examination Use the prescribed forms and attach photographs in the prescribed blanks (Size 4.0 cm 3.0 cm, facing front, upper half of the body, and hat off; taken within three months before applying). 5) Desk admission card 6) Entrance examination fee (30,000 JPY) Attach the receipt of the fee issued by the post office or designated bank to the application form (be sure to fill in applicant s name in the prescribed blank of the receipt). Cash, revenue stamps and checks are not acceptable. 7) University diploma or certificate of degree 8) Academic transcript Submit academic transcript issued by a university. If the applicant has credits transferred from other universities, please attach the previous academic transcripts. 9) List of academic achievements Submit the list of publications or equivalent. 10) Outline of study (A4 size, 1 page) Submit a paper explaining applicant s study plan. 11) Acceptance letter of application 4

5 The applicant who is in office must submit the acceptance letter from the employer. The applicant who will enroll after resigning his/her positions must submit a letter of resignation which is signed by the applicant. In this case, the document proving their resignation should be submitted. 12) Questionnaire (prescribed form). 13) Certificates of academic research experiences The applicant (i) who graduated from universities in the country where the total years of school education is less than 16 years; (ii) who is studying at a university or equivalent institute like inter-university research institute in or outside Japan at least for one year; and (iii) who is now 22 years old or older than that, or will be 22 years old or older than that in July 2011 must submit the official certificate attesting his/her academic research experience with prescribed form. 14) Certificate of non-degree research students Non-degree research students in the University of Tsukuba can request the certificate at the Division of Foreign Student Affairs and submit it. 15) Certificate of English proficiency A valid official score report of TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE/GMAT, IELTS, or equivalent (e.g. CET, etc.) must be submitted at the time of application. Our University codes are: TOEFL (0439), GRE/GRE (0439), and GMAT (0491), respectively. Note: The applicant who will receives scholarship from JDS or other agencies can submit the same application documents instead of the documents (3), (7), (8), (9), (10), (11) and (14). In this case, a recommendation letter of the applicant from the head of scholarship organization is required. 6. 出願方法 How to apply 1) 入学志願者は, 出願書類を取りそろえ, 出願書類等提出明細票で確認の上, 本学生命環境科学研究 科環境科学専攻事務室宛て提出してください 2) 出願書類の受付期間は, 所定の期日を別に定めるものとします (9 頁参照 ) 3) 受付場所 : 筑波大学大学院生命環境科学研究科環境科学専攻事務室 茨城県つくば市天王台 office@envr.tsukuba.ac.jp 4) 出願書類を受理したときは, 受験票, 受験者心得を送付します 1) The applicant put his/her application documents in order, check them by the check list of application forms and other documents, and then submit them to Master s Program in Environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences. 2) Application period is fixed (see p. 9). 3) Place of submission: Master s Program in Environmental Sciences Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences University of Tsukuba Tennodai, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, , Japan office@envr.tsukuba.ac.jp 4) After the complete application documents having been accepted, admission ticket, guidelines for 5

6 admissions, and a receipt of application fee will be sent by post. 7. 選抜方法 Selection process 書類審査および口述試験の結果を総合的に判定し, 入学候補者を決定します Applicants will be carefully screened by the application documents and the results of qritten and oral examination. 8. 学力検査及び日程等 Date of examination 下記のとおり実施します 1) 実施日程 (9 頁参照 ) 2) 科目 : 書類審査, 筆記試験 ( 専門科目 ) および口述試験 3) 内容 : 口述試験では, 研究計画および専門基礎知識等について試問を個別に行います 1) The date of the examination is specified (see p. 9). 2) The examination is done through the written examination and the individual oral interview based on the field of study. 3) In the oral examination, the focus is mainly put on applicant s research plan and related area. 9. 学力検査等の試験場 Location of examination 筑波大学大学院生命環境科学研究科環境科学専攻茨城県つくば市天王台 注 : 教室は, 本専攻事務室より個別に通知します Master s Program in Environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba Tennodai, Tsukuba,Ibaraki , Japan Note: Examination room will be informed individually. 10. 合格者の発表 Notification of the results of examination 所定の期日 (9 頁参照 ) The date is specified (see p. 9). 11. 入学手続 Entrance formalities 1) 合格者には, 入学手続の日時, 場所, 提出書類を入学手続案内により通知しますので, これに従って入学手続をとってください なお, その際, 有職者 ( 非常勤, アルバイトを除く ) については, 任命権者が発行する書類 ( 研修命令書, 休職証明書, 就学承認書等のいずれか ) を併せて提出してください 2) 入学時に必要な経費 1 入学料 : 282,000 円 2 授業料 : 第 1 期分 (8 月 ~9 月分 )89,300 円ただし, 平成 23 年度納付金第 2 期分 (10 月 ~3 月分 ) として,267,900 円が必要になります 注 : 入学時及び在学中に, 学生納付金の改定が行われた場合は, 改定時から新たな納付金額が適 6

7 用されます 3) 本専攻入学時に, 必ず 留学 の在留資格を保持していることを確認して下さい 出願時に就労可能な在留資格で滞在していることは認められますが,2011 年 8 月の入学時には, 必ず 留学 の在留資格に切替えることが義務付けられています 1) Only the successful applicants will be individually notified of success in the examination by postal mail, and informed of the date and place of admission procedure and the necessary documents to be submitted. 2) Expenses that must be paid at the enrollment are: Admission Fee 282,000 JPY Tuition Fee for the first period (from Aug. to Sept. 2011) 89,300 JPY Tuition Fee for the second period (from Oct to Mar. 2012), 267,900 JPY, will be charged later. 3) It is necessary for foreign students to have acquired the status of residence for the study purpose when they actually enter the program on 1st August, It is admitted to have acquired the status of residence for the working purpose WHEN THEY APPLY for the program. However, once they are admitted to enroll in the program, they MUST receive permission for change of status of residence for the study purpose. 12. その他 Other information 1) 出願書類に不備がある場合には, 受付をしないことがありますので十分注意してください 2) 出願後の専攻およびプログラムの変更は認めません 3) 納付した検定料は返還しません 4) 提出した書類は返還しません 5) 受験のための宿舎, 旅館等のあっせんは行いません 6) 合否の問い合わせには応じられません 7) その他, 受験についての詳細は, 受験者心得 ( 受験票と併せて送付 ) を参照してください 8) 受験に関すること, 学生募集要項等に関し, 不明な点や疑義がある場合には, 本専攻まで照会してくだ さい 9) 既に他の専攻, 研究科あるいは大学院において取得した単位を, 入学後研究科長の許可を得て,10 単位を限度として修了要件に含めることが可能です 1) Incomplete application documents would not be accepted nor considered. 2) It will not be admitted to change your program after submitting application documents. 3) Application fee is non-refundable. 4) Application documents will not be returned. 5) The University of Tsukuba does not offer hotels and accommodations for examinees. 6) The University of Tsukuba will not reply to any inquiry about the result of examination without exception. 7) About details of taking the examination, refer to guidelines for admissions that will be sent together with Admission Ticket. 8) For further inquiries regarding admission, please contact Master s Program in Environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Lie and Environmental Sciences. 9) Maximum ten credits obtained in other programs or graduate schools of the University of Tsukuba or other universities may be counted as a part of the credits to be required for the completion of the program 7
