55 Bulletin of Hiroshima Jogakuin University : 15 38,Dec. 2005 15 TAT The relationship between a coping style in the Rorschach Test and the TAT naratives Kyoko YAMASHITA Abstract In this survey, I conducted the Rorschach Test and the Thematic Apperception TestTATwith women college students as subjects, and analyzed the Rorschach Test by using the Comprehensive SystemExner, and TAT by using the response classification framework by Suzuki.Based on the result of the Rorschach Test, the subjects were classified into types of a coping style. subjests were ambitent styles, subjects were introversive styles and subjects were extratensive styles. subjects were excluded because their protocols had an EA less than.. So subjects were eligible for the analysis.among TAT cards, focus was made upon mother and child relationship as well as aggression based on the result of Yamashita, cards of Card, GF, BM, GF were selected, and details of response for each card were categorized by using Suzuki s framework.hypothesis in this survey is that, if the coping style in the Rorschach Test is different, TAT response will show a story with different details.the result was that there was a difference in TAT response by coping style in Card and GF, but there was no difference by coping style in Card GF and BM.An assignment for the future is to analyze remaining TAT cards and accumulate data to clarify the difference of the TAT responses by coping style by means of classifying the coping style furthermore.
