103 Investigation of the Validity of the Lifelines method FUKUDA Yuki and FURUKAWA Satoshi Abstracts We investigated the psychological validity of the Lifelines method. Thirty-seven college students asked to complete their Lifelines and three questionnaires; the Health Locus of Control Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, the Satisfaction With Life Scale SWLS. The results show that the data from Lifeline method reflects the present satisfaction with life. The person who has positive events at present in spite of negative one in past satisfy more than the person who has few events. Also they represent past events more directly than SWLS. And the Lifelines method is easier to collect data than another methods; autobiographers etc. to collect data. So Lifeline is useful psychological method to apply to clinical situations and cases that one looks back over the past. Keywords: Lifelines, validity, satisfaction
