Based on the questionnaire date answered by the parents (N=76), the following 4 results are reported. (1) The co-participants in reading throughout infancy and early childhood lead the children into reading much and developing a large vocabulary. (2) The parent s attitudes : They think that the most important effect is brought about by the co-participants reading to children. The parents in our reports expect their children to protect 33
15 social morals, being considerate to others and in good health in the future. It is just the same with normal parents. (3) The speed of early developments doesn t relate to their condition and achievement of study in later years. (4) The children are more advanced in Japanese than in arithmetic as a whole. On this point early education seems to have more effect on mastery of Japanese than that of arithmetic.
