Therefore, in this study, a questionnaire survey was administered to people with intellectual disabilities living in City A, Osaka Prefecture, to ascertain their needs in community living. The purpose of this research was to clarify the differences in needs between 11 users of a B-type facility for supporting continuous employment referred to below as the "welfare-based employment group" and 8 users of a community activity support center referred to below as the "facility visiting group". 精神障害者が利用する自立支援サービス事業種別によるニーズの相違について 大阪府 A 市における事業所利用者のアンケート調査より needs for support relating to ADL, whereas the facility visiting group had various needs such as personal affairs handling and financial management. The most common responses regarding desires for the future were "work to earn an income" in the welfare-based employment group, and "travel" in the facility visiting group. These results show that the welfare-based employment group is self-reliant in terms of ADL, and has a need for social participation. The facility visiting group, on the other hand, has difficulties in all areas of life, and needs at the level of activities. Going forward, support methods to meet these needs will require consideration.
