The details of the damage, the occurrence of the aftershocks, and the restoration process are written in the monument of the Shirahige shrine. In the former Japanese National Railways Omiya factory, which is located in the place used to be called Omiya Town, 24 people died of the collapse of the brick building. Including the result of Ishiguro et al (2014), we have found that there are 26 monuments in Saitama City, 17 of which are associated with the 1923 Kanto Earthquake, and the others of which may be related.
