3 27 昭 和56年1月20日 1 Agglutination bacteria * Strains isolsted urinary tract ** Strains with Fig. 1 The agglutination S. marcescens in human. several in human from patients with infections. isolated from respiratory び 尿 路 感 染 者,非 Genus suputum patients infections. 尿 路 感 染 者)よ り尿 を 採 取 し, 凝 集 陽 性 株 陰 性 株 に つ いて 凝 集 性 の変 化 を調 べ た Left: Agglutination positive (US5) Right: Agglutination negative (US3) が,凝 集 陽 性 株 は,す し,陰 性 株 は,す べ て の 尿 で 陽 性反 応 を示 は,ヒ トの 尿 で あ る 限 り こ の 反 応 は,極 べ て 陰 性 で あ つ た.こ の こ と め て再 現 性 の 高 い もの で あ る こ とを示 して い る 2. ヒ ト以 外 の 動 物 尿 で の 凝 集 性 ヒ ト以 外 で の 動 物 尿 で の 反 応 を 知 る た め に ヤ ギ,モ ル モ ッ ト,ラ ッ ト,ネ 尿 を 用 い て 調 べ た.ヒ 尿 で は,全 コ,イ ヌ,ウ サギの トで の 凝 集 株 も ヒ ト以 外 の 例 ヒ ト尿 で み ら れ る よ う な 凝 集 現 象 は 観 察 さ れ な か つ た. 3. 培 養 法 と 尿 凝 集 性 Fig. 2 Light US5 micrograph bacterial S. marcescens stained aggligate with Serratia methy- lenhlue. marcescensの 尿 で の 凝 集 性 は,菌 培 養 法 に よつ て 変 化 す る.静 性 に な る 率 が 高 い. pneumoniae, Pr. mirabilis, の 性 質 を 調 べ た が,い 1).又,Serratia Pr. vulgarisに つ いて ず れ も 陰 性 で あ つ た( marcescensに つ い て は,呼 吸 器 (US)と 路感染分離株 呼 吸 器 感 染 分 離 株(SS)の 各 株 を静 置 培 養 と振 盪 培 養 の 後 に 凝 集 反 応 を 見 た も の で あ る. 両 条 件 で 凝 集 す る 株 は3株,静 凝 集 す る 株 は12株,両 た が( 9株 で あ つ た. 中 で の凝 集 性 は 尿 路 感 染 分離 株 に 特 異 的 な 反 応 で は な く,呼 路感染分離株 に も 陰 性 株 が 見 出 さ れ た.一 の違 い に よる凝 集 性 の 有 無 を 調 べ る た め,多 方,尿 4. 吸器感染分離株 に も陽 性 株 が 多 く見 ら れ,又,尿 数 の ヒ ト(健 康 者,及 置 培 養 菌 の 方 が陽 2は,尿 疾 患 患 者 の 痰 よ り分 離 さ れ た 菌 株 に つ い て も調 べ 1),尿 の 条 件 で 共 に 凝 集 しな い 株 は 凝 集 陽 性株 と陰 性 株 の形 態 US 置培養条件のみで 1,陰 2の グ ル ー プ 中 よ り 凝 集 陽 性 株 と して 性 株 と し てUS3を 選 び,そ つ け 法 を 用 い 電 顕 で 観 察 し た(Fig.3, れ ぞ れ影 4).US 1

7 Pili-mediated Agglutination Serratia marcescens in Human Urine Hisaaki OHSHIMA Department Pediatrics, School Medicine, Fukuoka University, Fukuoka Kazunobu AMAKO Department Microbiology, School Medicine, Fukuoka University, Fukuoka Most s S. marcescens isolated from clinical materials formed large aggligates in human. This phenomenon was specifically observed on S. marcescens but not on the other gram-negative bacilli such as E. coli, K. pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa, P. maltophilia, P. vulgaris and P. mirabilis. Among 24 s S. marcescens isolated 15 s showed agglutination in human. Nine s were nonagglutinating. Electron microscopic observation these s revealed that the agglutinating s had numerous pili on their surface but none pili were observed on nonagglutinating s. The diameter the pili was 30 A. It showed more flexible prile than that the haemagglutinating E. coli. The role the pili in urinary tract infection is still remained to be elucidated.
