No.109, 2006 * Comparative Study in the Sentence of Students' Reports Produced between PC-Mail and Mobile Phone-Mail Naomasa SASAKI and Kumiko ISHIKAWA* Accepted April 30, 2006 : 1,100 : Abstract : This paper describes the investigation of peculiarity and a point of difference between students' reports composed by PC and mobile phone using a quantitative analysis method. Sentences and contexts were analyzed using the sentence analysis function of word processing software on about 1,100 students' subject reports composed and submitted by PC and mobile phone. Analysis and consideration were inquired by frequencies of each item and scores. Also, sentences and contexts were analyzed and evaluated using kansei evaluation method by observers to grasp and compare the impressions and the feelings about the extracted sentences from each students' reports. The results of the study showed that the effect of context and sentence style was effected by typing operation and sentence elaboration from functional characteristic between PC-mail and mobile phone-mail.
