No.8, 241-252 (2007) Global Strategies of Tire Manufacturers for the Growing Economies of Eastern European and Latin American Countries USHIYAMA Yukio Nihon University, Graduate School of Social and Cultural Studies The Eastern European and Latin American economies and the automotive industries of these areas have been growing rapidly since the end of the 20 th century. This paper reveals features of tire manufacturers global strategies for growing economies and their automotive industries, by studying how each maker has branched out into, and continued operations in, such areas.
