Takahashi (2002), Lasnik (2002), Miyagawa (2005), Epstein and Seely (2006)) (35) Chomsky (2006: fn. 38): a suggestive approach to partial reduction of EPP to general cognitive principles and canonical surface forms として T. 5. (36) Language is an optimal solution to legibility conditions. (Chomsky (2000: 96)) (37) Note the indefinite article: an optimal solution. Good design conditions are in part a matter of empirical discovery, though within general guidelines of an a prioristic character, a familiar feature of rational inquiry.
