II. GRAMMAR REVIEW: Topic: Verb Tenses Part 2 - Basic Future Tense (5-6 minutes) ( 動詞の時制パート 2- 単純未来形 ) The Basic future tense is used to express an action or situation that will happen in the future. This tense is formed by using modal auxiliary verbs will or shall followed by the simple form of the verb. Both singular and plural subjects use the simple form of the verb. ( 単純未来形は 未来に起こる出来事や状況を表します 単純未来形は 法助動詞の will か shall の後ろに動詞の原形を置くことで形成されます 主語が単数形でも複数形でも 動詞は原形となります ) Remember: The verb "will" is used to express desire or choice to do something in the future while the verb "shall" is used to express a command or something one must or ought to do. Shall is more commonly used in laws, regulations, or directives, and expresses the need to follow what is mandatory and inevitable.
