The variability observed in individual foraging and breeding activities suggest that age and experience of an animal influence its breeding effort/ success ratio. However,age and experience are difficult to apprehend since they imply that he life-history of an individual should be monitored over a lifetime. This study aims at examining the influence of age / experience on the breeding (using automatic identification systems) and foraging (bio-logging approach) strategies of little penguins of known age and history so as to understand the processes that control the reproductive success of populations
