Change in Emotional Intelligence through the Process of Learning Autogenic Training Ryuichi Sase Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of Autogenic Training ATon Emotional Intelligence. healthy Japanese college students with a mean age of. were trained in the st and nd formulas of Standard Excercises at home for a month, for a total of sessions. They completed Emotional Intelligence Scale and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory tests before the first session and after the last, and also reported on the state of their home AT practice. Results indicated that Self-efficacy and Optimism EQS increased significantly. There was also a significant correlation between the changes in EQS score and Trait Anxiety scores. These results suggest that Emotional Intelligence rises through the process of learning Autogenic Training and that this involves a change in anxiety level.
