14 Profile: Born in Kyoto, Japan, 1962, Mishima moved to Venice in In 1996, she began visiting glass ateliers on Murano Island, creating pieces in collaboration with glass masters. In 2001, she was the recipient of the Giorgio Armani prize awarded by Sotheby s in London. Exhibits of her works have been held at the Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum, Shiseido Gallery, and numerous European museums and galleries. She currently divides her time between Venice and Kyoto.
